Faith, Hope and Love......: I'll Go Where You Send Me.....

This step may be unnecessary but I remember the book mentioning it so I did it. Wrap up the tightly rolled bread slices with filling in a clean, damp kitchen towel. I used my cheese cloth, folded over twice for enough thickness. 

Set aside for about 15 mins. I think this makes the bread moist or something, no idea why we would do this otherwise. If you omit this step, let me know how that turns out, won't cha?

Now, butter up the rolls well on all sides. 

Lightly roast in a pan until all sides are browned. Cut up and serve with tomato sauce. Don't they look lovely? 

If you have store bought paneer in the fridge, then this can be put together in minutes. Imagine a fun evening cooking this with your kids or even better, wow-ing your guests with an appetizer that hardly took more than 30 mins to make. Its easy to do a bulk batch of this too. You can also cut up the rolls into smaller discs, stick a toothpick in, and serve it as a fancier appetizer.

Housewarming (Dedication) Prayer

Lord God, today is a day of rejoicing. There is a home that has just been bought and it is our desire to dedicate this dwelling place to You.

 

We are mindful from Scripture, Mat 8:20 "And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the heaven have nests; but the Son of man has no where to lay his head."

 

This is a blessed event that we are privileged to have a place to not only lay our head each evening, but to live and love and have Your Presence with us. May this earthly temple belong to You that all that enter here might know that You are head of this household.

 

We pray that this home be a home of peace. We pray that all that live or enter here might recognize that You are honored here and that we give You the glory for making this dwelling place a reality. May guests find solace and comfort here.

 

We pray that this home be central in gathering fond and rich memories. We pray that moments of love and gatherings be cherished. We pray that our memories of these times never fail us.

 

We pray for this house's upkeep. That will mean finances and labor. We pray that we never let this home go to disarray. Provide for us, Lord.

 

We pray likewise for the property that surrounds this house. May the upkeep of the lawn and garden reflect Your beauty in nature.

 

We pray that our gratitude to You in providing this home never diminish or be taken for granted. May these times of gratitude for Your bounty never cease.

 

Bless this home, God our Provider and grant our prayer for the well-being of those that dwell here. We give thanks in the name of Christ Jesus. Amen

Prayer For Health

Father God, Your Word states that You desire us to be in health. There are verses that proclaim we are healed by Christ's stripes. There are countless examples of Jesus healing many diseases. We believe that You are the same yesterday, today and forever.

 

For these reasons we pray for our health, that You might make us well and whole. We pray for our physical well being and healing of any abnormalities that we have in our bodies.

 

We pray, Almighty God that You help us to examine if there is a course of action that we should take to enhance our health.

 

We pray, Almighty God that Godly doctors will indeed guide us to courses of treatment if available.

 

We pray, Almighty God to unearth if our nutrition or diet is lacking in essentials.

 

We pray, Almighty God to examine our inward man and to eradicate any stress or unforgiveness which manifests in a physical ailment.

 

We are often blinded to ways that we can improve our health and we pray for insight if there is any area that we can indeed enhance. And once we have done our part, we pray for the Great Physician, Jesus to heal us and make us whole.

 

We thank You, Father God now for the gift of health and we stand firm that this is Your desire for us. Send forth Your Word to heal, through Christ Jesus. Amen

 

 

Wife's Prayer For Husband

Lord God, before You and man I was joined together with my husband and we are now flesh of my flesh and bone of my bone through the holy bonds of matrimony. Therefore I pray for my husband and ask that Your peace and blessings be upon him.

 

I pray Lord God, that I do no harm to him and that I do not hinder him from the God ordained role of spiritual head of the household. May he flourish in this role and be under subjection to You. May he treat me as Christ would treat me and may I treat him as I would our Lord.

 

I pray Lord God,  for my husband as provider and protector in this marriage. May it please You to use him in both these capacities. May I accept with gratitude this position in which he functions.

 

I pray Lord God, for my husband's spiritual well-being. May never lose his hunger and thirst for You. May we be supportive of each other's individual walk, and may we join together in unity in worshipping and serving You.

 

I pray Lord God, for my husband's financial planning decisions. May he receive showers of blessings from You as he makes Godly decisions that will affect us both. May his decisions be wise and appropriate.

 

I pray Lord God, for my husbands health. I pray that You will keep him in perfect health and that he remain well and whole. When he needs that care taking from me, may I be as supportive, loving and compassionate as I would have him be with me.

 

I pray Lord God, for my husband's safety. May You place a hedge around him and keep him from harm's way. May Your ministering angels protect him in his time of need.

 

I pray Lord God, for all other things that affect him. Work, children, friendships, relatives and even recreation. May I serve by his side and see to it that all these areas of his life be lived in harmony.

 

I pray Lord God, that he might always find me attractive within and outwardly as we keep our marriage alive, through Jesus Christ who brought us together. Amen

 

 

 

Prayer For Sleep

Almighty God, I am weary and I long for sleep to come to me. I read in Your Word, Psa 4:8" In peace will I both lay me down and sleep; For Thou, Jehovah, alone makes me dwell in safety."  I also read, Psa 127:2  "For so he gives unto his beloved sleep."

 

I need You, Lord to grant me a period of sleep that I might be rested. I try to close my eyes to sleep and my mind is so active it prevents me. I know that lack of sleep weakens me both physically and mentally and that I do not perform well. I know I have responsibilities to be met, and that I cannot be alert to them without rest and refreshment.

 

I pray Lord, in this quiet time that You ease my mind from this overload of stress and burden, that I might be able to shut my eyes and fall asleep. I am restless, yet I claim the Scripture that You give Your beloved sleep, and that I do lie down in safety.

 

Lord God, just speaking with You eases my spirit. I pray for sweet sleep that will follow this sweet conversation. Help me to quiet myself long enough for Your blessing of sleep to overtake me.

 

I thank You, Lord for allowing me to lean on You and to unburden my heart. Send to me Thy gentle Holy Spirit to hover over me while I sleep. May He protect me in this state, and grant me total refreshment when I awaken.

 

I thank You, Lord that we can bring all our requests to You, and I thank You that You foresaw this need by recording an encouragment in Scripture for me. Grant me Your rest through Christ Jesus in whom I put my trust. Amen
